MVI & IRS scoring — first run and updates

This page mirrors what happens in the app when scores are created after an analysis, and when you add or correct data without running a full analysis again.

First time (after your analysis finishes)

When you submit a pitch deck or start a full market analysis, the backend pipeline runs research, personas, and scoring. Results are saved on your project.

MVI (Market Validation) — Six pillars scored from your pitch overview, netnography / key trends from analysis, and AI customer personas. Stored in projects.mvi.
IRS (Investor Readiness) — Stage-adaptive score from traction and team metrics (customers, revenue, runway, TAM, etc.) plus analysis context. Stored in projects.irs_score.

When you add or change information later

You do not need a new full analysis to refresh scores. Use the buttons on your project dashboard. These lightweight recalculations do not consume analysis credits.

Update data — MVI (Market Validation)

Opens a form for pitch overview fields (problem, solution, target market, USP, competition, marketing), traction metrics (MRR, customers, team size, etc.), and project stage. Saving calls recalculate_mvi: existing analysis and personas are reused; only MVI is recomputed.

Recalculate IRS — IRS (Investor Readiness)

In the Investor Readiness scorecard, expand data completeness, fill missing fields for your stage tier (team, traction, financials, market), then recalculate. Saving calls recalculate_irs: IRS engine reruns with merged metrics; full LSS is not repeated.

    → projects.irs_score updated

Recalculation requires an existing analysis. If scores are missing, run a full analysis first. Investors viewing your project see the latest saved MVI and IRS on the dashboard.
